French Roast

Our French Roast is a dark-roast blend of specialty Central American coffees, designed for drinkers who love a big, comforting cup. Expect a full body with deep caramelized sweetness, bittersweet chocolate, and gentle smokiness—the acidity is tamed for a low-acid, ultra-smooth finish.

To build that flavor, we roast well past second crack—the classic French-roast zone—where sugars caramelize and roast notes take the lead while acidity drops. This is why French roasts taste bold and rounded rather than bright or citrusy. 

Starting with high-elevation Central American lots gives the blend natural cocoa, nut, and toffee foundations that hold up beautifully at dark roast, keeping the cup sweet instead of ashy. 

Tastes like: bittersweet chocolate, dark caramel/toffee, toasted nuts, smooth smoke; low acidity, full body.
