Italian Roast

Built for fans of big, roasty flavor, this is our boldest profile: a slow-roasted blend of specialty Arabica and Robusta taken past second crack for that classic near-black sheen, smoky aroma, and very low perceived acidity. Expect bittersweet chocolate, dark caramel, and toasty molasses with a lingering, satisfying finish. 

Roasting this dark amplifies Maillard and caramelization reactions, which is where those chocolate-and-caramel notes and the signature smoky edge come from. 

Uses: great as straight espresso, moka pot, or a bold drip/French press.
